This established Company with 80 delegates on site, is currently offering a fantastic opportunity for a senior Chef to oversee and manage their small Staff Canteen operation.
With anticipated daily feeding for 30 – 50 staff members, daily changing menus will include a range of simple Hot & Continental style Breakfasts alongside a ‘home cooked’ style Lunch which will include a simple Vegetarian option.
Working alone or with the help of an Assistant, you will have the opportunity to grow your own vegetables, salads and herbs with the potential to have own flock of chickens!
Role
In charge of day to day running of the Production Kitchen, responsibilities include:
Daily Menu Planning – Working to Cost Account Food Budget
Daily Food Preparation & Service
Stock control: ordering, supplier liaison, deliveries, invoices, wastage / budget control
Due diligence: Hygiene, H&S records & procedures, light cleaning duties
Contracted to work Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm, benefits include professional & friendly working environment and regular performance related salary reviews.
Candidate Profile
Min of 4 yrs experience at Snr Chef level gained working within quality, high volume Events / Production operations and / or Restaurant / Brasserie establishments
Genuine passion & ability to cook at Rustic / Home Cooked style dishes
Ability to deliver quality & consistency on an ongoing basis
Up to date on Hygiene legislation & valid min. Level 1 Food Hygiene in the Workplace certificate essential
Salary & Benefits
£25,000 Basic Start Salary
3 Months Probationary Period: Regular Performance Related Salary Reviews
Working Hours: 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday (45 hrs p / wk incl. breaks)
