| | Job Description PART TIME VACANCY - 16 HOURS PER WEEKTo identify, research and qualify potential customers and new contacts within existing accounts, in support of Market Management. Working both with existing sales leads and under your own initiative, to qualify customer requirements against the strategic needs of our business, in order to secure quality appointments for the sales team, in line with agreed callage targets.
Requirements Experience - In a hotel related or commercial sales environment.Skills and Knowledge - Possesses excellent telephone skills.- Good verbal and numerical analytical capabilities.- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing).- Good negotiation skills.- Result orientated individual.
Responsibilities -To prospect for new and develop existing sales leads on behalf of the Market Sales Team.-To ensure that your sales administration is in place to support account development, penetration planning and communication.-To maximise on Account customer facing activity by ensuring good journey planning and diary management.-To agree all contact with centrally managed Key and National accounts and third party agents, with the account owner, to gain maximum sales advantage prior to any contact made with customers.-To be fully conversant with the business objectives of Marriott Hotels and hotels in area, to steer business to support the achievement of hotel goals and Marriott Hotels.-Produce weekly sales reports to demonstrate sales activity and business generated to CDOSM.-Establish good working relationships and open communication with the Event Booking Centre, Regional Reservation Centre and the Sales Organisation.
