Adjacent to the National Exhibition Centre, the newly refurbished Hilton Birmingham Metropole has 790 bedrooms and 33 meeting rooms, including the Monarch Suite which can accommodate up to 2000 people. This contemporary hotel and conference centre is a popular Convention and Corporate destination and is easily accessible by road, rail and air making it an excellent choice for both national and international events. What will I be doing?The Security Department is responsible for the safety and security of all guests, visitors, Team Members and contractors whilst they are in the hotel. It is also responsible for the safety and security of the hotel premises. Specific responsibilities include: - Helping to maintain the security and safety of the hotel, guests and Team Members property by constant vigilance in and around the hotel premises
- Maintaining the security and safety of the hotel premises through routine inspections and acting promptly in any circumstances requiring attention
- Responsibility for ensuring all fire fighting equipment requirements are met
- Assist Management in dealing with any incidents arising in the hotel
- Follow all Health & Safety rules within the hotel
What are we looking for?- Previous Security experience, preferably in a people environment
- A good working knowledge of Fire and First Aid procedures
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Smart and well presented
