The Front Office Department is the main connection point between guests and the hotel as well as other Hotel Departments. Check ins/check outs, guest requests, concierge services and promotion of in-house activities are all handled here. It influences a guest’s first impressions of the hotel so everything must always be at it’s very best. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Check the guest arrival reports in advance and liaise daily with Housekeeping on room allocation for VIP guests
  • Be responsible for special room assignments and suite occupancies
  • Welcome and check of in VIP guests, escort them to the Executive Lounge and their room
  • Ensure all VIP room standards are met and amenities are in place before arrival
  • Be responsible for the Guest Relations Desk in the hotel lobby
  • Be seen as the main point of contact for VIP guests and ensure hotel departments are fully briefed on their requirements
  • Maintain the inventory of guest amenities
  • Keep up to date on all hotel products and services
  • Project a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service

  • Previous experience in Guest Relations in the hotel / leisure / retail sector
  • Calm, efficient and organised
  • The ability to listen and respond to demanding guest needs
  • Excellent personal presentation and communication skills
  • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of guest service
