Job Description The overall job purpose of the Restaurant Bar Supervisor is to effectively supervise and support the department's associates and maintain a highly motivated team. It is essential that the Restaurant Bar Supervisor to install and maintain high standards of service and maximise the revenue for the business. This vacancy will be on a full time 39 hour a week over 5 day contract.Working in our brand new 4 star RARE bar this contract will initially this a fixed term contract of 12 months pending the successful completion of a probationary period. The salary for this role will be £6.07 per hour + plus benefits.
Requirements Marriott requires the highest standards of customer service from every associate. It is essential that the Restaurant Bar Supervisor maintains a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene and is a good team player and communicator of tasks. It is also important that the Restaurant Bar Supervisor be flexible with their hours in line with the needs of the business. A basic food hygiene qualification is prefered but is not essential as training can be completed in house towards attaining this.
Responsibilities The principal accountabilities of the Restaurant Bar Supervisor are listed below. All training is provide by the company via our in dept induction to the company and very thorough on the job training. Principal Accountabilities The Restaurant Bar Supervisor is an essential role within the hotel below are key responsibilities for this role:- To be responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels at all times
- To ensure that all administrative duties are in operation and deadlines are met
- To drive associates morale, through recognition, empowerment and develop associates for promotion
- To ensure high standards of work performance, conduct and appearance are met by associates
- To aid the department manager in the selection process of associates, whilst meeting appropriate levels of staff as per budget
- To ensure that guest bills are accurate through following all departmental procedures and to ensure that cash handling procedures are followed.
- To provide a high quality service to our guests, to exceed their expectations through leading by example. Achieve the Marriott Guest Satisfaction targets and ensure brand standards are adhered to at all times.
- To be responsible for the safe keeping of all keys
- To maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, including safety of furniture, fixtures and fittings. To ensure the correct ambience is created
- To facilitate a good up and down flow of communication within the department, including maintaining memo and daily information boards holding shifts and allocating stations. To brief and de brief associates recognising good performance and areas for improvement
