DISCOVER MARRIOTT The Birmingham Marriott Hotel is looking to recruit an enthusiastic bar associate to join its food bar service team. The successful candidate will work with all Food and Beverage teams to ensure that all Food & Beverage service standards are adhered to at all times as per the standard operating procedure and Company brand standards. RequirementsStrong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)Pro-active and reliableAble to work alone and within a teamFlexible hours in line with business needsMust be well presented and have excellent personal hygieneGood level of English essential Basic Food Hygiene Certificated Previous experience of food or beverage service in a similar style of operation preferred but not essential
ResponsibilitiesEnsure that you have full product knowledge of all Food & Beverage Menu items and their service.To adhere to the Marriott Brand Standards within the bar area.To complete the bars new starter training manual & hotel CNHT material within the first 90 daysTo be knowledgeable of all beverage and food items that the hotel provides within the bar areaTo operate the micros system effectively and handle cash To be able to effectively carry out the opening up and closing down of the department when requiredPrepare the bar ensuring the bar is well stocked at all times, to include effective cellar managementTo maintain the cleanliness of all bar equipment and bar areas at all timesTo attend all Marriott training sessions as required by the hotel, to include all legislative training and additional training provided by the hotel To adhere to the Marriott Uniform Standards at all timesFollow all Health & Safety ProceduresPerforms other related tasks as assigned by management.Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.You may be required to work in other food & beverage outlets depending on the needs of the business/levels.Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than your contracted hours.To carry out any reasonable request that the hotel requires
