GENERAL MANAGER OPPORTUNITIES – AIRPORT LOCATIONS ACROSS THE UK – RESTAURANT / BAR VACANCIES – EXCELLENT SALARY AND BENEFITS PACKAGE – LARGE PLC BRANDED BUSINESS

Our client is one of the UK’s leading restaurant and bar providers to airport locations throughout the UK.They are responsible for these heavy footfall, large turnover sites providing food and beverages to airport visitors both land side and airside.

Due to the continues expansion of the business, new opportunities are going to arise in the business and we are looking for experienced General Managers to join the business and take full control of the operation.

Hospitality in an airport is very different to the traditional norm, they do not rely on regular custom and are very reliant on passenger numbers, therefore peak times are more likely to be early morning and lunch, however, it is important to remember that your customers are usually on very tight timescales so time management is essential.

As these operations are branded and have a high street presence, customers will have high expectations on both quality and service, therefore as General Manager you will:

·Be responsible for the day to day running of the site

·Ensure that service standards, customer service and quality levels are maintained to the highest standard

·Recruit and train staff

·Lead and motivate your team

·Control costs and budgets

·Liaise with suppliers, airport authorities and 3rd parties

Ideally coming from a General Manager position in a branded environment, you will already have a track record of achieving KPIs and delivering a high level of service, however, our client believes that the personality of the individual is as import as their career history, as an individual you will:

·Be self motivated and be able to motivate others

·Able to deal with early starts, some sites open at 4am and will have a queue of customers from the minute the doors open

·Have excellent organizational and time management skills

·Be able to handle pressure in a calm and effective manner

·Be able to communicate to staff and customers, many of whom will not have English as their primary language

·Have a friendly and outgoing nature

In return for your hard work and commitment, our client offers a range of benefits to their employees, including:

  • Competitive salary
  • Award winning training programs; these will be tailored to suit your needs and to help you progress as you move up within the company
  • Full company induction programme
  • On job training; including Professional Qualification support
  • Multi –Brand training to allow you to develop your career across the entire group
  • Paid holiday
  • Meals on duty
  • Free uniform
  • Discounts across all brands
  • Childcare vouchers
  • Stakeholders Pension

If these positions are of interest to you and you wish to pursue your career in this environment, please send through a current CV and cover letter as to why you feel your experience and abilities would be suited to this type of position.
