Welcome to Sizzling Pubs The Millhouses

We have a superb opportunity for an experienced, passionate and proven Kitchen Manager at The Millhouses Sizzling Pub in Worksop. This vacancy has become live due to the food sales growth which continues to increase; the pub is also due to open for breakfasts as it sits next to a Travel Lodge. The successful candidate will be able to motivate and lead their kitchen team to be the best business in the local area and continue to drive the food sales in our busy and popular pub. The pub serves in excess 1000 meals a week and has an excellent local reputation. Our menu is famous for our Sizzling skillets with mouth watering steaks, chicken, ribs to more classical dishes like fish & chips or pie and mash. As a Kitchen Manager you will be fully trained to the standards required in Sizzling Pubs, and have the highest standards in food safety and hygiene due diligence and be able to demonstrate your knowledge in these areas. You will have strong organisational abilities and be experienced in the day to day skills of running a high volume kitchen that includes food stock control and ordering, along with being able to effectively manage a team of individuals in producing consistent, high quality food in accordance with specification and to food safety standards Please be aware that this position will require you to hold a full driving licence and you must have continued and unlimited access to a vehicle.

At Sizzling Pubs we’re famous for our sizzling skillets loaded with all sorts of delicious things from fajitas to juicy prime steaks. But our skillets aren’t the only things that keep our customers coming back for more. There’s our delicious meaty burgers, our gorgeous gammon hock, even our super mega sundaes. 

What you’ll do in this role

As Kitchen Manager you’ll be responsible for everything that goes into our kitchen and for everything that comes out – and everyone too. Not only that but you’ll keep a wary eye on stock, control ordering and budgets. So however hot the skillet you’ll never get your fingers burned!

• As Kitchen Manager you’ll make sure that every dish is sheer perfection as it makes its way from kitchen to table
• You’ll be responsible for training and motivating your staff ensuring a perfect blend in the kitchen
• You’ll be responsible for food stock control and ordering
• You’ll be accountable for the kitchen’s financial performance
• You’ll be on the fast track to a rewarding managerial career with us
