Our client is a well established and well respected Food led Pub Group with over 30 sites located around London and the South of England.

They have established their reputation based on providing high quality, fresh food at affordable prices.They are highly popular with regular trade during both summer and winter.Their menus reflect both the sites location and the changing seasons so are constantly developing and introducing new ideas to their menus.

We are assisting the group in securing the services of an experienced Sous Chef to join one of the busiest and most popular venues.

Located close to Buckingham Palace, this venue is a popular venue with both locals and tourists and also houses the training kitchen for the company so will offer the successful applicant the opportunity to learn and develop their skills from the leading chefs in the business.

As Sous Chef your role will include:

  • Working closely with the Head Chef and deputising for them in their absence
  • Forming part of the management team for the site and contributing new ideas
  • Helping to develop and train the brigade
  • Running sections and running the pass when required
  • Maintaining control over orders and quality
  • Dealing with ordering and stock taking
  • Liaising with front of house to ensure smooth and consistent levels of service
  • Organising preparation for service

As an individual you will:

  • Have experience in handling volume numbers without compromising on quality
  • Have helped to train and motivate staff
  • Have a passion for cooking and set yourself high standards
  • Can lead staff and be a strong team player
  • Be committed and wanting to progress within the business
  • Be based in London
