Country house hotel located in Cheshire requires a Sous Chef to help lead the kitchen team
Role:
A popular manor house hotel with an excellent reputation for serving quality food that has a very stable kitchen team has had the position of Sous Chef come available.The hotel has an AA accredited restaurant, a large banqueting room which holds over 100 weddings a year as well as the lounge bar that offers light meals as an alternative to the restaurant.Fully focused on fresh seasonal dishes the hotel takes advantage of its own kitchen garden to create many of the items on the a la carte menus.In the role of Sous Chef you will be expected to cook to the very high standards expected as well as support the Head Chef with the day to day management of the kitchen including running it in their absence.
Requirements:
All Sous Chefs applying to this position should have experience working within a two AA Rosette property at this level.Previous experience of cooking in a high quality, multi-outlet venue is essential for this role as well as experience of carrying out kitchen administration and some knowledge of running the kitchen department in a busy property.
