Sous Chef is required for the Banqueting operation of this amazing, luxury city centre Hotel in Manchester. This fantastic 5* establishment has a self-contained banqueting floor and requires an experienced Sous Chef to help run a very busy operation alongside the Banqueting Head Chef. You will be catering for up to 400 covers per service with a brigade of 7 and you will be preparing and serving high quality cuisine at all times. This is a large and very well equipped kitchen and it is a very well run operation.As Banqueting Sous Chef you will be responsible for managing and supporting the brigade, ensuring all sections are run smoothly and deadlines are met. You must have experience of working in a high volume banqueting operation, ideally up to a 2 AA Rosette level and preferably you will also have team supervisory experience. It is essential you have the drive and enthusiasm to produce excellent food in a busy environment as well as the desire to learn and develop yourself under some very experienced and highly thought of chefs. Both Food Hygiene & HACCP knowledge would be desirable and basic computer skills are necessary.
