Job Description:   

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Central Londonfor an restaurant supervisor / assistant manager

The Company:

Very successful restaurant group in the UK & Europe, with over 35 restaurants ranging from Brasserie to trendy cocktail bar to Michelin star restaurant .

The restaurant has 100 cvr & a team of 15 FOH staff + 10 bar staff

As Restaurant supervisor / Assistant Manager your main responsibilities will include :

  • To supervise Head Waiters, Sommelier, Commis Waiters and Receptionists, ensuring that the correct standards and methods of service are maintained.
  • To ensure consistent communication from the restaurant to the manager
  • To assist in ensuring that rotas are posted and timesheets submitted on time.
  • Ensure efficient flow of service and standards are constantly met during service
  • Demonstrate a high standard of restaurant and personal presentation, ensuring good personal hygiene of self and team
  • To strictly adhere to the department’s operational budget and ensure that all costs are controlled and expenditure approved.
  • To be able to conduct and supervise all cashiering and reporting procedures
  • To assist in and co-ordinate the training of all employees, ensuring that they have the necessary skills to perform their duties with the maximum efficiency and in the most productive manner.
  • To assist the restaurant team in providing all staff with on-going service standards training as well as food and beverage product knowledge.

  • To maintain a high customer awareness by approaching your job with the customers always in mind.
  • To be motivated and committed to your personal development, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seizing opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve your personal performance
  • To be adaptable, responding quickly and positively to changing requirements, which may mean getting involved in procedures that are not normally part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
  • To maintain high level of teamwork by showing co-operation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of department and restaurant goals. To have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both customers and colleagues

To be successful you will need:

  • Previous restaurant experience
  • Previous experience as a Head Waiter
  • Supervision experience
