Our client is looking for a Sous Chef to complete its brigade, in this three star leisure hotel. Situated in Bury St Edmunds its location and easy access to the town centre make this a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a fresh challenge and change of scenery.
The hotel itself comprises of 30 rooms and a 30 seat restaurant, but makes most of its trade from conferences, corporate lunches and weddings, that can seat up to 150 guests.
You would be expected to not only aid the Head Chef in his daily duties but be responsible and experienced enough to take charge when necessary and organize your staff, maintain standards and deal with any issues that may arise in the Head Chefs absence.
It is desired that you have NVQ2 or above although training will be given. A good understanding of the workings of a hotel kitchen would also be very beneficial.
