The Strand Palace Hotel is a 3* 785 bedroom landmark hotel wonderfully located in the heart of London, offering extensive conference facilities and operating 5 Food & Beverage outlets.
We are currently seeking a full time Maintenance Operative to join our friendly and busy Maintenance team.
The main focus of the role is to perform preventative and general maintenance in all Food & Beverage, Guest, Bedrooms and Back of House areas, to ensure all areas in the Hotel are maintained to an excellent standard.
Duties will include:
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in a clean and safe working condition
- Prompt responses are given to the service needs of all customers (internal and external)
- Any defects are corrected/reported to the Deputy Engineer and supervisor promptly via the maintenance log
- All planned preventative and general maintenance is carried out in accordance with the maintenance schedule
- Maintain a high level of customer service when dealing with any problems/requests
- Maintain a sufficient stock of materials and spares in delegated stores, advising maintenance management when ordering is required.
- To complete and maintain documentation in line with health and safety regulations relating to water, fire, and electrical equipment and appliances and any other technical laws/requirements.
- To ensure that all other maintenance issues within the hotel, are dealt with or brought to the attention of the maintenance office.
- To check back of house, F&B and public areas regularly and any maintenance problems are corrected, in addition to handling any extra problems reported during the shift.
The successful candidate will be able to show both sound technical ability and recognised qualifications and possess general maintenance skills.Being of a motivated and enthusiastic nature, you will be able to communicate clearly at all levels and display a flexible approach to a wide range of property maintenance activities.
