The Operation:
? Our client operates a very busy, large and luxurious property.
? They are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Food Services Manager with a genuine ambition to get to the top within a professional hospitality organisation
? Located on the outskirts of Oxford this highly popular hotel has very up to date facilities and a strong F&B department.
? It is also packed full of all some of the best and ablest people – therefore the right candidate for this Food Services Manger role will hive the right tools to manage people, guests and systems.
The Candidate:
? The perfect candidate for this Food Services Manager role will have a very solid background in food and beverage operations, but this doesn’t have to be in a hotel. Most importantly you should have experience and confidence to deal with high staffing numbers and a very busy department.
? You’ll need a sound level of product knowledge – especially with food as the restaurant will be your main responsibility.
? You will be able to ensure the smooth running of service times through a meticulous approach to preparation, training and staff development:
? You will be keen to gain further experience in business development and happy to have a strategic input.
The Role:
? This will not be an entirely hands on role as Food Services Manager – you will be expected to develop training systems, constantly change and improve the way your department operates and also be able to step back and look at the bigger picture.
? An assistant will be provided who will be more operational, however you should not be shy of rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in if required.
? You will be required to take time to train staff in everything from silver service to wine tastings, and have a professional and confident manner.
? This role doesn’t necessarily need someone with rosette experience, but candidates do need to understand the finer points of fantastic customer service.
