This award winning gastro pub is looking for an experienced Commis Chef to join their brigade of 5.
English food with a twist is served in the 50-cover restaurant, lots of seasonal food but with a Mediterranean influence. A lot of dishes incorporate game around this period of the year and fish features heavily as well. Head chef has devised a simple, uncomplicated menu whilst still being hearty and flavoursome. Taste and presentation are important in this restaurant, guests often comment on standards.
Management believes that employees are the most important resource and treat them like family. The pub is an important element to the local community – as well as a regular restaurant (where you have to book ahead for a table I hasten to add!)
Commis Chef Criteria:
NVQ2
Basic Hygiene Certificate
Passion for top quality food.
2 Rosette Experience
Salary £13k live in possible
