Strong General Manager required to join busy hotel in Suffolk, £30000+ bonus.
Busy hotel with a mix of corporate and leisure business. The 60-cover restaurant serves a blend of modern and classic European cuisine while the bar and lounge serve simple fresh food at a faster pace. The F&B operation also includes several private dining rooms, and there are also extensive C&B facilities and a growing wedding trade. As General Manager you will be responsible for approximately 40 staff.
There is money to spend on refurbing the bedrooms and public areas throughout the year and they are seeking a General manager with the vision and drive to take the establishment forward.
The correct General Manager candidate:
Must have in depth knowledge of financial management, budgetary control, P&L, wage costs, ability to maximise room rates and occupancy - in short to run a profitable operation.
Proven background in the delivery of high levels of customer service - ideally in 3-4 star hotels
Must have wide of skills including human resources management, food and beverage, rooms management, sales and marketing.
Very strong communication and organisation skills and the ability to produce results.
This is a hands-on role where you will be expected to be accessible to guests and staff at all times. Excellent people management and delegation skills are a must.
