This establishment changed hands a few years ago and the new owners are seeking a strong Assistant Manager to oversee all aspects of the Pub. It is a food led outlet, focussing on good quality local produce, prepared simply. The style of food is Modern with a few traditional dishes thrown in as well, and the style of service is friendly, informal but knowledgeable.

The Person
My client is seeking a candidate who has already been an assistant manager in a similar operation, or even someone who has been an assistant manager. You’ll need to know about good food, have strong wine knowledge and above all be extremely customer focussed and able to bring this same focus to the rest of your staff.
You will take complete responsibility for the financial success of the business, so will need to know all about GP’s, budgets, P&L, etc..
You will report directly to the new owner and while he will be involved in the business, you will be expected to run the operation as your own.
