My client runs a busy tradional pub in the heart of the Sussex countryside on the outskirts of Crawley. The restaurant serves only local sourced items and has menu updates every two weeks. The head chef is of 3 rosette standards and due to these factors the business has been a great success.
Due to the level of business they are looking to recruit an innovative couple to join the team as trainee assistant managers. 70% of the business is from food sales so the ideal candidates must come from a high volume dry led background.
This is the perfect first opportunity for a couple that have had some exposure to management but not on a permanent basis. Ideally as a couple you are already successfully working together. Although you will share responsibilities for all matters front of house your roles will be seperate as a bar manager and restaurant supervisor. Both candidates should already be personal licence holders.
Your combined responsibilities will include:
Setting up and running shifts.
Ordering and controlling stock.
Maintaining service standards.
Supervising staff members including all training needs FOH
Staff rotas
Ensuring all finances balance.
Maintenance of the cellar at all times.
You will be given all the financial training needed to manage a successful P&L and how to forecast and achieve budgets.
