Catering Staff

Location: Westminster

Salary: £8.50 per hour + service charge and attractive benefits

All the positions are fulltime and permanent.

Our client is currently recruiting new Food and Beverage team members for their different outlets in this successful 4-star deluxe hotel in Westminster.

The following roles are available to start immediately:

  • Restaurant Waiters and Waitresses for Breakfast, Lunch and/or Dinner Shift
  • Room Service Waiters and Waitresses
  • Conference and Banqueting Supervisor

Key responsibilities for the Catering Staff:

  • Greet all guests in a personable, warm and friendly way
  • Recognise all returning guests and VIP’s
  • Correctly record all orders and relay special requests to the kitchen
  • Have thorough knowledge of items on the menu which may be an issue for those guests with food intolerances and allergies and advise guests correctly
  • Have an excellent knowledge of the menus and the beverages that are best served with each dish
  • Use all opportunities to up sell beverages and food
  • Proactively respond to guests’ requests and requirements
  • Acknowledge guests’ complaints and report them immediately to the supervisor

Skills and experience required for these Catering roles:

They are looking for people who are naturally confident and enjoy interacting with guests, offering an engaging, warm and relaxed service style. You will also have outstanding skills and knowledge in your chosen role, gained within quality hotel or restaurant environments.

Requirements of the Catering Staff:

  • Good level of oral and written English
  • Have pride in your own personal presentation
  • Vibrant and professional personality.
  • A keen interest in Food and Beverage trends
  • The ability to be flexible especially when under pressure
  • Demonstrate a proven pro active approach to daily operations
  • Have training in Basic Food Hygiene
