Caterer.com partners with industry employers and experts on a new Career Advice Hub to support hospitality workers and job seekers

The new Caterer.com Career Advice Hub is packed with videos, downloads, support and advice to help hospitality workers feel empowered, find employment and develop their careers in the sector now and in the future.

Providing answers to the most asked job seeking questions

Getting a new job is tough at any time, but much more so right now. The new Caterer.com Career Advice Hub is designed to help hospitality people find the right jobs for them, by answering the most often searched for job seeking questions. It includes unique and empowering advice direct from hospitality employers, recruiters and experts.

A great range of searchable videos, downloads and articles give positive, enabling insight on topics such as coping with redundancy, how to find the right job for you, understanding your skill set, nailing your first 90 days in a new job, and maintaining your wellbeing and confidence. The aim of the Career Advice Hub is to boost the job seeking skills and confidence of hospitality people and help them find the work they want.

Advice direct from HR and Talent experts

The Career Advice Hub content was created in partnership with HR and talent heads from respected hospitality brands including Honest Burgers, Lime Wood Group, Kew Green Hotels and The Ivy Collection, alongside industry education, wellbeing and workplace experts. The range of videos were created in collaboration with Marcus Weedon of Milestone Recruitment and Kieron Bailey of Experience 101 who have championed the project from the start.

New videos, podcasts and downloads are added regularly and shared via the jobseeker databases and social channels of Caterer.com, as well as through industry partners across the UK. Those involved hope to help hundreds of thousands of hospitality job seekers to navigate the process of finding a new job and support their wellbeing and happiness along the way.

Positive and empowering support for hospitality people

Neil Pattison, Director at Caterer.com, said, ‘Now more than ever we need to support one another in the sector, and freely sharing knowledge, insight and advice is an important way to do this. Our Career Advice Hub has been created to give hospitality workers positive and empowering support, direct from employers and experts in the industry.

Building the skills and resilience of our hospitality people right now, and through the coming months, is crucial to the future success of the sector. Hospitality will reopen and rebuild, and employers will want to welcome back some of the incredible people that make this industry what it is. We hope our Career Advice Hub, which will be a constant presence on the site and be added to regularly, will be an inspiration and a lifeline to those in the sector that need it.’

Marcus Weedon, Founder & Director of Milestone Recruitment commented, ‘I’m immensely proud to be involved in such a huge initiative and humbled by the generosity in time, support and help that so many hospitality employers and recruiters have shown to enable its creation. It’s another demonstration of the industry working together to recover and get our industry people back on their feet.’

Kieron Bailey, Co-Founder & Creative Director of EXP101 commented, ‘Sharing the knowledge of some of hospitality’s leaders felt like the ideal way to offer support the industry we love.’

Finding jobs for our hospitality people

Alongside the Career Advice Hub, there are over 38,000 live jobs currently showcased on Caterer.com within its Redeployment Hub in both hospitality and complimentary sectors. Whilst hospitality jobs are the core focus for Caterer.com, for now the site also features jobs in other sectors for hospitality workers looking for short-term employment until such time as hospitality can welcome them back.
